Duende Software is defining the identity infrastructure category. Trusted by more than 2,500 organizations worldwide, Duende and our flagship product, IdentityServer, help the world's most discerning organizations secure the identities of their users. After a decade of open source innovation, Duende IdentityServer was launched in 2020 to provide the world's most customizable, extensible identity infrastructure for securing human and machine access and identity across modern .NET ecosystems and beyond.
With accelerating demand, strong financial performance, and a product roadmap expanding into federation, non-human identity, and modern developer tooling, Duende is now building the operational infrastructure to match its engineering ambition. An outstanding Revenue Operations Engineer is central to that mission.
The Role
We are looking for a Revenue Operations Engineer to design, build, and automate the systems that power our go-to-market engine.
You will own the technical architecture of our HubSpot ecosystem and the operational workflows that connect Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance. You will build the automation that replaces manual processes, design the data models that make reporting trustworthy, and create the integrations that connect our tools into a cohesive system. This role owns the integrity, performance, and evolution of our HubSpot ecosystem across the Revenue and Marketing teams. You will design and refine the architecture that supports opportunity progression, lifecycle management, forecasting, attribution, and executive reporting.
Duende's engineering team is AI-forward and technically sophisticated. Our go-to-market (GTM) operations are not - yet. Your job is to close that gap: bring engineering rigor, automation-first thinking, and AI-assisted tooling to the systems that track pipeline, manage renewals, and drive revenue growth.
This is not a maintenance role. It is a build-and-scale role.
Revenue Systems Architecture
Design and implement the HubSpot architecture for a new pricing and packaging rollout: custom objects, deal stages, properties, pipeline views, and automated quote workflows
Build and maintain executive dashboards and forensic reporting across pipeline velocity, win/loss analysis, cohort performance, and revenue forecasting
Own CRM data integrity: schema design, deduplication, data mapping, and governance practices that establish a single source of truth
Integrate HubSpot with third-party tools via native integrations, APIs, and middleware (e.g., Make.com, Zapier, or custom scripts)
Automation and Process Engineering
Automate the renewal lifecycle: build 90/60/30-day reminder sequences, renewal risk scoring, and AI-generated value realization summaries per account
Design and implement lifecycle stage management, lead scoring, and marketing-to-sales handoff automation
Create attribution models that connect marketing spend to pipeline and revenue outcomes
Document every process you build. If it's not documented, it doesn't exist
AI-Assisted Operations
Identify opportunities to apply AI tooling (LLMs, agentic workflows, AI-assisted analysis) to GTM operations
Build or prototype internal tools that reduce manual work: automated deal intelligence, AI-powered customer health scoring, dynamic pricing analysis
Serve as the bridge between our engineering team's AI capabilities and the operational needs of Sales, Marketing, and Finance
This is What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days
HubSpot is configured for the new pricing and packaging structure. Deal stages, properties, and pipeline views reflect how we actually sell. You've audited existing data quality and have a remediation plan.
Reporting dashboards are live and trusted at the board level. Renewals automation initiatives are in process; manual renewal communications are eliminated. You've integrated at least one external tool into the HubSpot ecosystem.
The operational foundation for our June product launch is in place. Pipeline tracking, forecasting, and KPI reporting run without manual intervention. You've shipped at least one AI-assisted operational tool or workflow.
The Team
This role will report to the Head of Sales & Renewals, but will partner closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Finance and Operations.
About You
You are a builder who thinks in systems, not tickets. You care about data integrity as much as revenue impact. You would rather automate a process once than execute it manually a hundred times.
Technical Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience building and architecting complex HubSpot environments (custom objects, advanced workflow automation, API integrations, and opportunity configuration)
Demonstrated ability to write HubSpot workflows, integrate external systems via APIs, and build operational tooling—not just configure settings in a GUI
Proven track record designing lifecycle stages, attribution models, deal stage architectures, and revenue reporting frameworks
Experience building executive-level dashboards including velocity metrics, win/loss analysis, cohort retention, and forecasting
Familiarity with AI/LLM tools and a demonstrated willingness to experiment with AI-assisted workflows (you don't need to be an ML engineer, but you should be actively curious and using these tools in your work)
Experience with .NET/C# strongly preferred, sufficient to build integrations, data pipelines, or internal tools
How You Work
Ownership and initiative. You identify leverage points and drive them to completion without waiting to be told what to fix
Engineering mindset. You approach operational problems the way a software engineer approaches code: with version control thinking, testing, documentation, and a bias toward automation over manual processes
Collaboration and humility. You work across functions, welcome feedback, and hold a confident point of view without ego. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Engineering
Bias for clarity. You document processes, define terms, and reduce ambiguity in systems and reporting. If stakeholders can't trust the data, none of the automation matters
Comfort with ambiguity. Duende is a ~25-person company scaling rapidly. You'll be building infrastructure from the ground up in some areas. That should excite you, not intimidate you
Salary and Location
While the listed location is Austin, Texas, we have a worldwide, distributed team and will consider remote and flexible work arrangements worldwide. Duende's compensation package includes a market-competitive salary ($90,000 - $130,000) and benefits, the specifics of which will be commensurate with candidate experience and fit.
We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing a positive interview
experience for every candidate. If accommodations due to a disability or medical condition are
needed, please let us know.
